The playback is very jerky and sometimes stops, but I know I have a good video card? Usually the first thing to check is the acceleration settings on your video card. Because of the rich graphic nature of my screensaver, you need to turn up all of your acceleration settings. Another thing to try is that sometimes video cards combine the on board RAM with your PCs RAM. Check under the Troubleshooting section of the Advanced properties on your video card. Make sure "Enable Write Combining" is unchecked. This should help smooth your playback quite a bit. My PC is a few years old. What are the minimum specifications I need to be able to run your screensaver? If your PC is older than 3 years, you may find you have some trouble playing my screensaver. The most important things you need are RAM and Video Card RAM. These are the minimum specifications I would recommend, but it may run if your PC doesn't have all of these things: 1. A good video card - preferably with a true GPU and at least 32Mb of RAM 2. Windows 2000/XP with all service packs 3. At least 1.5 GHz Celeron (preferably PIV) 4. At least 512 Mb RAM While Skeleton Adventures may well run on your PC if you have a lower specification, it is always recommended that you try the demo first. At least that way you can check for sure!
Your screensaver plays OK, but sometimes there is a strange kind of graphic corruption on the screen. It sounds like you don't have the right codecs installed. Try clicking here to install the WMP9 codecs. If installing those codecs only helps a little, then you need to click here to install the base files for Windows Media Player 9. You can even uninstall it when you are finished, but there are some settings that are required for the best playback of my adventures. After I buy Skeleton Adventures, can I use on my laptop as well as my desktop? I've tried to make it as easy as possible for you to enjoy my adventures. If you have a desktop and a laptop, you only need to buy 1 copy of the full version of Skeleton Adventures. You will just need to regenerate the key on each computer. In fact, the full version will let you generate up to 3 keys! If you buy the reduced version, it will only allow you to generate 1 key for 1 computer. Can I install Skeleton Adventures on all the computers in my office? If you would like to install Skeleton Adventures on the computers in the office, there are special discounts for Site Licenses. Just drop us a question via the Contact Us page. I'm running ZoneAlarm and Skeleton Adventures keeps asking for Server Rights. Does this pose a security risk? You might have noticed that Skeleton Adventures is currently more than 80Mb. This will come as a single file. To be able to play this as a screensaver without consuming all of your PCs memory, I decided to get these Adventures of mine streamed out on a local server. I have made sure this server only accepts connections locally to prevent others taking advantage of this technology.
